Summer League Mini-Camp: Day 4

Day four of mini-camp continued today as the Denver Nuggets prepare for the Las Vegas Summer League.

Gary Harris made his mini-camp debut after returning from Asia, where he was assisting with some of the NBA’s global initiatives. He will be traveling with the team and will play some of the games in Las Vegas. Harris brings an additional veteran presence to a very young roster.

“We have a lot of young talent,” Harris said. “I’m just focusing on getting better. I just want to help continuing to build the chemistry. They’ve looked good today. We’re all learning and getting better together.”

Other Nuggets players who have stopped by this week to encourage the Summer League team and get their own workouts in include Jusuf Nurkić, Wilson Chandler, and Will Barton.

Antonio Barton, the younger brother of Will Barton, was on the Nuggets Summer League team last year and feels like he has a better grasp on what’s expected.

“I feel used to everything that’s going on. I know what the coaches like and what they want. I feel very comfortable.

“I just want to be a good teammate and help out anyway I can.”

The Las Vegas Summer League begins on July 8 and will be televised on ESPN and NBA TV.
