Kiki Vandeweghe scored 50 points on 21-of-30 shooting in a 163-155 victory that set an NBA record as the highest-scoring non-overtime game in league history.
Vandeweghe's outburst came in the midst of his most productive NBA season. He went on to average 29.4 points and 4.8 rebounds while leading the Nuggets to the Western Conference playoffs.
The Nuggets-Spurs game still stands as the second-highest-scoring non-overtime game in NBA history. The Golden State Warriors beat the Nuggets 162-158 to open the 1990-91 season on Nov. 2, 1990.
