DND Spotlight: Lynn

This is Lynn’s second season with the Nuggets Dancers. Coming all the way from her hometown in Louisiana, she made the trip to Denver for the DND tryouts back in 2014 and earned herself a spot on the Nuggets Dancers’ roster.

“I flew back home, packed everything up and drove up here four days later,” and the rest is history.

Nicknamed Lynnie the Pooh, or Lynnie for short, this dedicated scholar was a Psychology major while she attended Loyola University in New Orleans.

Dancing nearly came before walking for Lynn, as she started twirling around the age of two and started competing just a few years later.

“One of my earliest memories was when I was maybe five and at my dance recital. We were holding hands going around in a large circle and I fell and started crying, however, I got back up right away and finished the entire dance, still crying! I received a standing applause after that.”

This proud Sagittarius doesn’t stray too far from dancing activity outside performing at Nuggets home games. You can find her cranking up hip-hop music and trying all the new fitness trends such as acro-yoga, aerial skills and even fire hula hooping.

She’s worked hard for her place on the DND, and appreciates the lifelong family she has gained nearly 1,300 miles away from home.

A dreamer at heart, Lynn’s ultimate vacation would be to skip the beach and travel to outer space.

“My goal in life is to travel to as many places and see as many things as possible. The only place I know I won't be able to get to is Outer Space, therefore it's my dream vacation!”

She lives by the saying, “Be the change you wish to see in the world,” said by Mahatma Gandhi.
