Pacers Stay Unbeaten, Top Thunder By Melanie CurtsingerJuly 10, 2012 ORLANDO – Lance Stephenson scored 28 points to lead the Indiana Pacers to their second win in as many days at the 2012 AirTran Airways Orlando Pro Summer League, a 78-74 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder. With the loss, the Thunder fell to 0-2 in summer league play, which is taking place at the Orlando Magic’s practice facility at the Amway Center in Orlando, Fla.

The two teams kept the game close through three quarters of play, but the fourth was a quarter of runs, as Oklahoma City started the final period with an 11-0 run before Indiana countered with 12 unanswered points of their own.

The Pacers held a 59-50 advantage heading into the final 10 minutes of game action, but the Thunder quickly thwarted that cushion, making five of their first six shots to take their first lead since the opening quarter, 61-59, at the 7:13 mark on a Garrett Temple driving lay-up.

The Pacers were quick to answer, however, running off 12 consecutive over the next four and a half minutes to re-take a 10-point lead, 71-61.

That margin proved too much for OKC to overcome, as the Thunder stayed within striking distance the remainder of the way but were unable to match the Pacers down the stretch.

Stephenson finished with an impressive stats line with seven assists, three rebounds and no turnovers in more than 33 minutes of action while making 10-of-14 shots from the field. Miles Plumlee added 14 for the Pacers, while Lazar Hayward (15), Reggie Jackson (13) and Latavious Williams (10) all registered double figures for Oklahoma City.
