ORLANDOThe Orlando Magic and FOX Sports Florida announced the 2012-13 local television broadcast schedule today.

For the first time in team history, all Magic games will be televised exclusively on one channel in high definition: FOX Sports Florida. With 81 regular season games, and two preseason games, the move to FOX Sports Florida marks a welcomed change for viewers who previously watched games on FOX Sports Florida and Sun Sports.

FOX Sports Florida, the exclusive local TV home of the Orlando Magic, kicks off its regular season coverage live from the Amway Center with the team's home opener on Friday, November 2 vs. the Denver Nuggets at 7:00 pm ET.

In addition, FOX Sports Florida will air a pair of the Magic’s eight preseason games, beginning on Sunday, October 21 vs. the San Antonio Spurs in Orlando at 6:00 pm ET. FOX Sports Florida will also broadcast the Friday, October 26 preseason game against the Houston Rockets at 7:00 pm ET.

Calling the action for Orlando Magic basketball on FOX Sports Florida will be longtime Magic announcer David Steele (play-by-play), celebrating his 24th season with the team, and former Magic coach and national NBA analyst, Matt Guokas (analyst).

Magic fans will continue to enjoy extensive live pre-game and post-game content during “Magic LIVE”, including expert analysis, news conferences, player interviews and more. A half-hour edition of the show will air before each of the 81 regular season games with an extended post-game edition to return immediately following each game broadcast. Paul Kennedy, who also returns for his 24th season covering the Magic, will serve as the host of Magic LIVE, alongside former Magic players Nick Anderson and Jeff Turner.

Dante Marchitelli and Jessica Blaylock will provide feature and in-game reports, with Blaylock also assuming in-game social media reporting via twitter on @FSMagic. Former Magic dancer Megan Clementi rounds out the telecast team as the host of “Inside the Magic.”

FOX Sports Florida will continue to bring Magic fans closer to their hometown team with its commitment to feature programming produced by the network. Plans tentatively call for six new episodes of the “Inside the Magic” series with numerous player profiles and shows focusing on other aspects of the team and its operations.
