Projecting Most Improved Magic Players in 2014‑15
1 / 6Honorable Mention: Maurice Harkless Josh Cohen's Analysis: Harkless’ first and second years were very comparable. In both seasons, he started extremely slow and tentative but eventually found some comfort and efficiency. Prior to the All-Star break last season, Harkless averaged 6.5 points in 21.3 minutes per game. After the break, he elevated his stats to 9.1 points in 30.1 minutes. Harkless is already a quality defender and is extremely athletic (led Magic in dunks last season). He is allegedly expanding his offensive repertoire this summer, particularly with his mid-range game. If he can become more comfortable in the post, Harkless has a chance to evolve into a double-digit scorer next season.
