While the future isn’t necessarily now, the Magic are hopeful that they can make major gains this season as they continue to mix their veteran players with their rising youngsters. Veteran point guard Jameer Nelson is back for his 10th season with the Magic, making him the only player other than Nick Anderson to spend 10 seasons in Orlando pinstripes. Arron Afflalo, last season’s leading scorer, and Glen ``Big Baby’’ Davis – who helped Orlando get off to a surprising 12-13 start last season before injuries to his shoulder and foot derailed the season – also return.

Those veteran players will be paired with a young foursome that shined last season despite Orlando’s challenging 20-62 record.
