Atlanta guard Kyle Korver hit one 3-pointer to extend his streak to 88 straight games with at least one 3-pointer. He can tie Dana Barros’ NBA record of 89 straight games with a 3-pointer on Wednesday when the Hawks play in Houston. Nelson chased Korver around screens most of the night and he made just one of six 3-point tries. And Nelson wanted it noted after the game that he wasn’t in the game when Korver hit his only 3-pointer.

``I tried to break Kyle’s streak too, but he had that tough one,’’ Nelson said. ``He didn’t continue the streak on me. Sometimes you have to be selfish and he didn’t hit that three on me. … That’s a tough guy to guard. He’s similar to (former Magic guard) J.J. (Redick) and those two are the best at what they do. They read the screens well. My focus was to just be as close to him as I could. We did a better job in the second half of making it tough on them and imposing our will.’’

Al Horford and Jeff Teague scored 15 points for the Hawks.
