Cohen's Analysis: It’s still early in the season, but I am noticing more and more NBA fans on social networking expressing their approval for the Orlando Magic.
There was some harsh criticism towards the team after trading Dwight Howard over the summer for a collection of young talent, draft picks and financial flexibility.
It was apparent Orlando was choosing to remodel its franchise and a renovation was necessary to accomplish those goals. But immediately, there was widespread belief that the Magic didn’t get enough in return for the All-Star center.
Comments on Facebook and Twitter from all over the country suggest spectators are very impressed and pleasantly surprised with just how good guys like Arron Afflalo and Nikola Vucevic are and how much veterans like Glen Davis and J.J. Redick have immensely improved.
There is still plenty of work to do to gain more and more trust from the NBA universe, but right now, the Magic are one of the hottest, most appreciated teams in the league by fans across the globe.
