Cohen 8-Ball: To Keep Or To Trade?

Return to Around the Association Home

Josh Smith

Cohen's Analysis (Feb. 3, 2014): While it may be too premature to conclude anything after just three months in a new city, Smith has generally been a disappointment in Detroit. His 15.5 points and 6.8 rebounds per game average are his worst since his second year in the league.

It would probably take a desperate team on the cusp of a playoff berth to consider accepting his $50 million contract over the next three-and-a-half seasons. And that same team would need at least something intriguing for the Pistons to deliberate on it.
