ADAM SILVER’S TAKEOVER
Cohen‘s Analysis: Earlier this month Adam Silver replaced David Stern as NBA Commissioner and immediately everyone wanted to know how different things will be in the coming years in the NBA.
The biggest conjecture is how much the league will expand outside of the United States and Canada. There is buzz that Silver will look to start an entire division overseas and there is a belief that he will consider scheduling select games at earlier times to cater to fans in other countries.
That for example could suggest playing a game in the U.S. at 9 a.m. so that fans in China can have an opportunity to watch it live on TV at primetime hour.
