Cohen’s Analysis: Most are in harmony that the race to the award is between two men, Kevin Durant and LeBron James. It’s a logical assessment considering KD has torched his competition with some rather extraordinary statistics and LeBron James is the consensus best overall player on the planet.
But it remains somewhat puzzling why Paul George is not more of a legit candidate to those that cover the NBA regularly. His stats are obviously impressive, he is the star of the team with the best record in his conference and he is arguably the most dynamic defender in the game. It sure feels like George is getting wrongfully dismissed.
