Cohen’s Analysis: It feels like an eternity ago when Noel was projected to be the No. 1 overall draft pick. That ACL injury in college obviously impacted his reputation. But some still believe he will have the biggest influence from the 2013 draft. If he can stay healthy, which is uncertain considering the cheerless history of injury-riddled big men, many are confident Noel will be a shot-blocking machine in the NBA.

BOLD PREDICTION: We can’t help but automatically think of Greg Oden when evaluating Noel’s potential. A severe knee injury at the tender age of 18 is never a good sign. But because he wasn’t the first overall pick let alone a top five selection, Noel doesn’t necessarily have to become an All-Star sensation to have a successful career. I think the pressure is off just enough for him to be productive, particularly as a defensive specialist.
