Rudy Showcases Progress in Achilles Recovery

Since injuring his left achilles on Jan 18, Rudy Gay continues to make tremendous progress on his recovery.

On Monday afternoon, head athletic trainer Manny Romero and director of sports medicine Pete Youngman took to social media to give fans a sneak peak of Rudy putting in work. In the brief clip, Rudy can be seen running on the AlterG anti-gravity treadmill, which according to its website “allows patients to rehabilitate with less pain while reducing the risk of further injury…”

This is the second documented instance of Rudy showing how far he’s come since his season-ending injury. A few a weeks ago, cameras captured the veteran forward on the court taking a few shots before the Kings matchup in Oakland with the Golden State Warriors.

There’s no doubt that these recent video clips of Rudy are promising signs for Kings fans looking ahead to next season.
