Kings Q&A: Anjali World & Tyga

How excited are you to be performing at the Kings-Jazz game?

Anjali World:“I'm so excited. It’s just always the craziest, most energetic atmosphere. More than any other sports team that I’ve been to. So it’s just always amazing to come back. Obviously this means a lot to me because it’s close to home.”

Tyga:“This is my first time at a Sacramento Kings game, so I’m excited.”

Tyga, is this your first time performing at an NBA game?

“First time performing at an NBA game. I’ve actually performed in Sacramento before on tour a couple years ago, but this is my first time performing at a game.”

Tell us a little bit about your new single.

Anjali World:“My new single is called ‘Nobody’ and it’s featuring Tyga. It’s the first single that I’ve really been pushing for radio, and the whole concept behind it is that nobody can come between me and you. I feel like a lot of people can relate to it because everyone has been in a relationship at some point that someone disagrees with."

Tyga:“This is the first record we’ve done together so it’s good. She’s an up-and-coming artist and it’s a great song.”

Anjali, can you give us any details about your new album?

“I’m not really sure – there’s no set release date or anything. The music is all done it’s just that these things take a lot of time when it comes to building it up and getting your name out there. It’ll definitely be sometime in the spring though.”

You’ve had the chance to collaborate with notable hip-hop stars, like Tyga and French Montana. Are there any other collaborations in the works?

“Not right now. I think the next few songs I release will just be me, but I hope to collaborate more in the future.”

We know you’re working hard putting your first album together, but have you had the chance to catch any Kings games during this process?

<

“I wish. I want to come to more but I also run a non profit. So between those two things it’s been really hard. I’m going to try to come to as many as I can though.”

Any plans for some kind of Kings themed anthem?

“Yes, definitely! I actually have a song already that’s almost done so I’m just trying to figure out whether or not to put a feature on it. Ben McLemore and I were actually going to do something. I don’t know if a lot of people know this, but he’s a rapper and he’s good. So we might have something special coming out."
