The high-scoring Bighorns gave their fans a show in the team’s home finale on Tuesday night in Reno.
For the second time in D-League history, two teammates posted triple-doubles in the same game. A feat not accomplished in the D-League since 2007 by the Albuquerque Thunderbirds Tony Bland and Melvin Hodge.
Led by David Stockton (26 points, 15 assists and 10 rebounds), Reno defeated top-seeded Bakersfield 131-105. The triple-double was the Gonzaga product’s second of the season and second since his stint with the Kings in late February.
The 10 boards also ties a career-high record for the former Sacramento Kings call-up.
Coby Karl joined his teammate in the triple-double party, posting his best game of the season with 26 points, 10 assists and 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, recent Kings call-up Sim Bhullar continued his stellar play in the latter half of the season with 19 points, 15 rebounds and five blocks. Bhullar is currently averaging 10.3 points and a league-leading 3.9 blocks on the season.
