KJZZ 14 to Broadcast Series of Utah Jazz Specials

SALT LAKE CITY (November 19, 2013) – KJZZ 14 has five upcoming special 30-minute presentations on Utah Jazz basketball, beginning Nov. 26 with a profile on fourth-year head coach Tyrone Corbin. The show will air at 8 p.m. and then be rebroadcast at 9 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 30 and Saturday, Dec. 7. Corbin, who participated in the Basketball without Borders camp in South Africa last summer, is the seventh head coach in Jazz history and just the fourth head coach since the franchise’s relocation to Utah in 1979. A versatile small forward, Corbin played for nine teams during his NBA career (1985-2001), including the Jazz.

KJZZ broadcasts on channel 14 over the air and for Dish and DirecTV subscribers and on Comcast channels 3 (SD) and 657 (HD).

“KJZZ is proud to present original Utah Jazz programming that highlights iconic people and moments as well as provides an off-the-court perspective on the personalities and activities of the current Jazz team members,” said Jeremy Castro, vice president of Jazz broadcasting and KJZZ general manager.

The Jazz broadcasting team – featuring Craig Bolerjack, Matt Harpring, Alema Harrington, Thurl Bailey, Phil Johnson, David Locke, Ron Boone and Steve Brown -- will contribute to the series of shows, giving Jazz fans a unique perspective on the team from the court to the locker room and into the community.
