Jazz Recall Tibor Pleiss from Idaho Stampede

SALT LAKE CITY (February 3, 2016) – The Utah Jazz announced today that the team has recalled center Tibor Pleiss from the Idaho Stampede, the Jazz’s exclusively owned and operated NBA D-League team. Pleiss was assigned to the Stampede on Jan. 28 and appeared in two games during his most recent stint. He will re-join the team in Salt Lake City prior to tonight’s game against the Denver Nuggets. This marked the second assignment to the Stampede for Pleiss this season (also on assignment Nov. 30-Dec. 16). Pleiss (7-3, 262, Germany) has appeared in nine games (all starts) for the Stampede this season, averaging 11.8 points on 58.3 percent shooting, 8.1 rebounds, 2.1 blocks and 1.6 assist in 29.7 minutes per game. On Jan. 29 against the Austin Spurs, Pleiss recorded 19 points on 64.3 percent shooting, eight rebounds, five assists, two steals and six blocks in 35 minutes of action. The 7-3 center has seen action in 12 games for the Jazz this season, averaging 2.0 points and 1.3 rebounds in 6.8 minutes per game. Pleiss is the fourth player to be assigned to the D-League under the new Jazz-Stampede single affiliation. Other players on the current Jazz roster with D-League experience include Rudy Gobert, Erick Green and Chris Johnson.
