Top 10 Jazz Games of 2014-15 (6-10)

By Matt Payne, utahjazz.com

10) Quin’s First Win (11/1/14)

Final Score: Jazz 118, Suns 91

Quin Snyder’s first regular-season win as the coach of the Utah Jazz came in impressive fashion as the Jazz slapped a lopsided victory on the Phoenix Suns. Derrick Favors scored a career-high 32 points as the Jazz pulled away for a 118-91 victory.

9) Biggest (by margin, at least) win of the season—since 2008 actually—over Brooklyn (1/24/15)

Final Score: Jazz 108, Nets 73

The Jazz outscored the playoff-bound Nets in each quarter (and 60-30 in the second and fourth quarters combined) to come away with the team’s most lopsided victory in nearly seven years. The last time Utah recorded a victory by 35+ points was on March 31, 2008 when the Jazz beat Washington 129-87.

8) Home win over defending NBA champion Spurs (12/9/14)

Final Score: Jazz 100, Spurs 96

After a series of comeback wins and buzzer-beaters (and a bunch of losses), the Jazz finally put together a full game—against the defending champs, no less. Utah led after halftime and again after the third quarter, eventually pulling out the win over the San Antonio Spurs. The win snapped a nine-game losing streak and served as a much-needed reminder of the team’s potential.

7) Utah catches fire from outside, eviscerates the Hornets (3/16/15)

Final Score: Jazz 94, Hornets 66

The Jazz drilled 11 straight 3-pointers in the first half … led 61-30 at the half (the most points they scored in a half all season) … eventually led by as many as 44 in the third quarter … sat their starters down the stretch … and easily claimed their sixth consecutive victory … good times.

6) Jazz crush the Bulls in Chicago (1/7/15)

Final Score: Jazz 97, Bulls 77

The Jazz notched their seventh win in 11 games when they routed the Bulls in early January. Rudy Gobert continued his breakout season with 11 points, 15 rebounds and five blocks. The Jazz held one of the league’s top teams to its season low in points (77) and field goal percentage (33.3 percent).
