Bobcats to Give out Zeller, Walker Gnomes on January 14 and 22 Ten of Each Gnome to be Part of Social Media Scavenger Hunt on Friday Prior to Giveaways

The Charlotte Bobcats this month will give away the team’s first-ever promotional gnomes featuring forward Cody Zeller and guard Kemba Walker. The first 10,000 fans attending the team’s game against the New York Knicks on Tuesday, January 14, will receive the Zeller gnome, while the Walker gnome will be handed out to the first 10,000 fans entering the Wednesday, January 22, contest against the Los Angeles Clippers.
In addition, the Friday before each giveaway, fans will have the opportunity to participate in a #GnomeHunt (scavenger hunt) through the Bobcats’ social media channels. As part of the social media scavenger hunt, there will be 10 gnomes, including two that are autographed, hidden at various locations throughout Charlotte. Clues to the gnomes’ locations will be posted throughout the day on the Bobcats’ Facebook (facebook.com/bobcats), Twitter (@bobcats) and Instagram pages (@charlottebobcats). The Zeller #GnomeHunt will be tomorrow, Friday, January 10. The Walker #GnomeHunt will be Friday, January 17.
The gnome giveaways are a first for the Bobcats, who have previously handed out player likeness items such as bobbleheads and action figures. The Zeller gnome will be the inaugural promotional item featuring the rookie. Walker has been featured on several giveaways during his Bobcats career, including a mini-ball as a rookie in 2011-12 and a bobblehead last year.
