Memphis, May 3, 2012 – The Grizzlies will host watch parties as the team heads to Los Angeles for Games 3 and 4 of the First Round of the Western Conference Playoffs on Saturday, May 5th and Monday, May 7th.
Fans are invited to cheer on the Memphis Grizzlies during the first watch party at AutoZone Park at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 5th for Game 3. The party, complete with face painters, balloon artists and interactive games on the concourse, will show the game on the park’s 13-story video wall and also include appearances by Grizz, Grizz Girls and the Claw Crew. There will also be special timeout programming during the game. Park gates open at 3:00 p.m., 30 minutes prior to tip-off. Admission is free to all Grizzlies fans and food and beverage will be available for purchase.
Fans are also encouraged to attend the Game 4 Budweiser Watch Party at Celtic Crossing on Monday, May 7th, with the game tipping off at 9:30 p.m. At this 21-and-over venue, party-goers can enjoy drink specials, courtesy of Budweiser while watching the Grizzlies take on the Clippers. Grizz Girls and the Claw Crew will make an appearance, and Grizz fans can enter into drawings for Grizzlies prize packs throughout the night.
Games 3 and 4 of the Grizzlies’ First Round Playoffs, presented by First Tennessee and Memphis-area Toyota Dealers, will be televised by FOX Sports Tennessee. Both games will feature play-by-play announcer Pete Pranica, analyst Brevin Knight and sideline reporter Rob Fischer. Coverage of each game begins 30 minutes prior to tip-off with the pregame show GRIZZLIES LIVE, presented by Chuck Hutton Toyota, and will be followed by postgame coverage featuring Pranica and Knight.
Games 3 and 4 will also be carried live on 92.9 FM ESPN Radio and will feature play-by-play announcer Eric Hasseltine and analyst Hank McDowell. Coverage begins with the pregame show 30 minutes prior to tip-off.
