Grizzlies announce 2015-16 promotional schedule

The Memphis Grizzlies today announced their promotional schedule for the 2015-16 regular season, featuring some previous fan-favorite giveaways, and introducing all-new collectibles and keepsakes to celebrate the 15th season of Grizzlies basketball in the Bluff City.

In addition, the team announced today that starting on Saturday, Oct. 3 at 10 a.m. , fans will be able to purchase single game tickets for all Grizzlies regular season and preseason contests. Tickets start at just $10, and are available for purchase at all Ticketmaster locations, Ticketmaster.com, the FedExForum Box Office, online at grizzlies.com or by calling 1-800-4NBA-TIX.

When the Grizzlies tip-off the 2015-16 regular season home slate on Oct. 28 against LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers, they will welcome Grizz Nation back to FedExForum by giving away full-season magnet schedules, presented by First Tennessee Bank, to all fans in attendance. October concludes with a Halloween night game against the Brooklyn Nets on Oct. 31 when the Grizzlies treat – rather than trick – fans to a mini hoop set also presented by First Tennessee to the first 5,000 fans for the Halloween-themed game. (Promises for no tricks from mascot Grizz cannot be guaranteed.)

Starting with the Nov. 16 game vs. Oklahoma City, the Grizzlies will introduce Hardwood Classics Nights, presented by First Tennessee. The team will wear throwback Memphis Sounds jerseys on the court, and off the court the Grizzlies will give away a retro Memphis Sounds Pennant to the first 5,000 fans in attendance. Hardwood Classics will continue with the Dec. 3 game vs. San Antonio (Tacky Holiday Tee to the first 5,000 fans); Dec. 29 vs. Miami; Jan. 16 vs. New York and Feb. 19 vs. Minnesota (Memphis Sounds Car Freshener to the first 5,000 fans). Fans can pick up their own Memphis Sounds gear at the Grizzlies Den by adidas at FedExForum starting in November. Check grizzlies.com for updates and more groovy details on Hardwood Classics at FedExForum.

The Jan. 16 Hardwood Classics matchup vs. New York will debut the first of the “Core Four” collectible giveaways featured during the Grizzlies’ 15-16 campaign which will feature the “Mount Grizzmore” series, inspired by the iconic Mount Rushmore itself. The first 4,000 fans in attendance will receive “Mount Grizzmore #1” featuring Tony Allen on Jan. 16 (New York); Mount Grizzmore #2 featuring Mike Conley on Feb. 6 (Dallas); Mount Grizzmore #3 featuring Zach Randolph on March 4 (Utah); and Mount Grizzmore #4 featuring Marc Gasol on April 5 (Chicago).

Theme nights continue with the return of BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee’s Health Night on Nov. 20 to highlight the Grizzlies first Southwest Division rival game vs. the Houston Rockets where a Grizzlies Jump Rope will be given away to the first 5,000 fans. On Dec. 11 FedExForum will transform into a galaxy “far, far away” as the Grizzlies host their first-ever Star Wars themed night, complete with a Tony Allen Jedi Robe giveaway to the first 3,000 lucky “Padawan Learners.” The Grizzlies will prepare for the holidays by debuting the Z-‘Bow’ Gift Package to the first 5,000 fans to the Dec. 19 game vs. Indiana. Once again, and back by popular demand, the Grizzlies will host the popular Wrestling Night on March 11 vs. New Orleans where a Grizzlies-styled Luchadore Mask will be given out to the first 3,000 fans in attendance.

Giveaways will tip-off in 2016 with the return of the Grizzlies Scarf, highlighting Elvis’ Honorary Birthday game on Jan. 8 vs. Denver. Beloved mascot Grizz is celebrating his birthday at the Feb. 6 contest against the Dallas Mavericks, where he will be up to his usual tricks and treating the first 4,000 fans in attendance to the aforementioned Mount Grizzmore #2 featuring Mike Conley. The first 5,000 fans to the Feb. 24 home tilt vs. the Lakers will receive a poster of the 2015-16 Grizz Girls dance team, presented by Mercury Printing and Horseshoe Casino Tunica.

Methodist Healthcare will present NBA Fit Night on Jan. 30 vs. Sacramento, and in its eighth year, International Paper will present the Grizzlies Go Green Game, highlighted by the fan-favorite Tour de Grizz ride before and after the Grizzlies’ early March 6 tilt with the Phoenix Suns.

Grizzlies fans will have the chance to wave their team’s colors with Rally Flags, presented by FOX Sports Southeast, if they are one of the first 10,000 in attendance to the March 19 game against the Clippers. To conclude the promotional schedule, all fans at the regular season home finale on April 9 against the Golden State Warriors will receive a Grizzlies Poster, presented by First Tennessee, for Fan Appreciation Night.
