The Indiana Pacers announced Monday they have recalled 6-1 guard Joe Young from their affiliate in the NBA’s Development League, the Fort Wayne Mad Ants.
Young was assigned to Fort Wayne on Friday night and appeared in two games over the weekend for the Mad Ants. He had 27 points on 9-of-21 shooting and three assists in a 110-103 loss to the Iowa Energy on Saturday. He then collected 17 points, three rebounds, and two assists in a 99-96 win over the Grand Rapids Drive on Sunday.
Young has appeared in seven NBA games so far in his rookie season, averaging 1.3 points and 0.6 assists in 5.9 minutes per game.
