Indianapolis, Feb. 10, 2003 - Statement from Pacers Sports & Entertainment President Donnie Walsh regarding the alleged incident with Pacers’ forward Ron Artest in Atlanta, GA during All-Star weekend.
“Ron Artest was reported to have been involved in an altercation at a party in Atlanta during All-Star weekend. Ron spent the weekend at Disney World with his family enjoying the break. He was not in Atlanta during the time of the incident. These reports are completely false.”
“We, as an organization, are looking into how Ron’s name became affiliated with this story and the media’s representation of the events that transpired.”
