Mike Wells from The Indianapolis Star and Adrian Wojnarski of Yahoo! Sports are reporting the Pacers have agreed to a one-year deal with free agent guard DJ Augustin.

Augustin, a 6'0" point guard averaged 11.1 points and 6.4 assists per game this season as the starting point guard for the Charlotte Bobcats. He was selected with the ninth overall pick in the 2008 NBA Draft by Charlotte.

One of the quicker players in the NBA, he boasts a career free throw percentage of 87.6% and last season had a solid assist-to-turnover ratio of 2.78:1. In 2010-11, he was even better, with an assist-to-turnover ratio of 3.2:1.

Augustin also brings the kind of pedigree the Pacers seek: He was selected as the Southeast Division winner for the 2010-11 NBA Sportsmanship Award.
