Pacers Vice President of Basketball Operations Peter Dinwiddie has been named to the Indianapolis Business Journal's Forty Under 40 list of 2017.
Dinwiddie — who has been with the Pacers for 11 years — currently works in Basketball Operations, but began his career with the Pacers as a Ticket Sales Account Executive.
After a number of seasons in Ticket Sales, Dinwiddie made the jump to Basketball Operations and was mentored by the Pacers' former Team President and current Basketball Operations Consultant Donnie Walsh.
For the Pacers, Dinwiddie plays a vital role in the construction of the roster every offseason.
"Our goal every year is to win," Dinwiddie told the IBJ. "(To) put a team together that’s going to win games and represent in a positive manner.”
Dinwiddie credited the Pacers' stability and continuity as reasons why it has one of the best work cultures in sports.
"I think its great for the franchise," he said of making the IBJ's Forty Under 40 list. "Personally I'm honored and excited. I think its great recognition for the franchise and for the team."
