Donations will also be accepted at Big Ten Men’s Basketball Tournament on March 8
INDIANAPOLIS (March 5, 2012) – The American Red Cross has announced the Indiana Pacers and the Indiana Fever have made a donation of $100,000 to assist in the Tornado Relief efforts in southern Indiana. In addition, donations will be accepted at the Pacers home game on Tuesday, March 6, vs. Atlanta at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Red Cross volunteers, along with the Pacemates, Pacers mascot Boomer and notable Pacers and Fever personalities will be on hand pregame to accept any donations from fans and visitors.
Further, the Big Ten Conference will also assist the Red Cross by accepting contributions at both sessions of the first round of the Big Ten Men’s Basketball Tournament on Thursday, March 8, at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
“The Indiana Pacers organization is proud to be a part of this effort. The need is great and we are happy to do whatever we can,” said Pacers and Fever owner Herb Simon. “We join our fans and the citizens of Indiana in helping those in need.”

The Pacers play Atlanta on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. The Big Ten Men’s Basketball Tournament schedule for Thursday includes two sessions: Thursday morning at 11:30 a.m. which features Iowa vs. Illinois and Indiana vs. Penn State. The evening session will begin at 5:30 p.m. and showcases Northwestern vs. Minnesota and Purdue vs. Nebraska.
