INDIANAPOLIS – As part of the NBA’s Hardwood Classics program, the Indiana Pacers announced Thursday they will be wearing their iconic Flo-Jo jerseys from the 90’s for six select games.

FLO-JO JERSEYS: News, Photos & Videos »

A longtime fan favorite, the Pacers wore the Flo-Jo jerseys for seven seasons from 1990-1997; which coincided with the first major steps of success of the franchise during its NBA Years. During that time, the Pacers made six appearances in the playoffs and two Eastern Conference Finals appearances.

The Flo-Jo jerseys were designed by USA Track and Field Star Florence Griffith-Joyner, who at the time was known as much for her style and fashion as she was for her speed.

The Pacers will wear the Flo-Jo jerseys for six games: Feb. 4 vs. Detroit; Feb. 22 vs. Golden State; Feb. 27 vs. Cleveland; Mar. 10 vs. Orlando; Mar. 29 vs. Dallas and April 8 at New York.

Quotes from the Pacers past and present on the Flo-Jo jerseys:

Pacers Legend Reggie Miller: “I have so much respect and admiration for Florence Griffith-Joyner and I’m happy to see the Flo-Jo jersey making a comeback. It kind of makes me wish I could grow back the Bobby Brown haircut and take the court with the fellas.”

Paul George: “I like them. They are the best jerseys we have had. They were definitely trendy for their era.”

Roy Hibbert: “They have a classic look and feel to them. I’m very impressed.”

David West: “They are cool. I always like the old school look and these are classic in a unique way.”
