Born Miles Christian Plumlee on September 1, 1988, in Fort Wayne, Indiana ... Son of Perky and Leslie Plumlee ... Father, Perky, is a lawyer and played basketball at Tennessee Tech ... Mother, Leslie, is a pharmacist and played basketball at Purdue ... An athletic big man with outstanding leaping ability and foot speed ... one of the top run and jump athletes in the ACC ... Leads the team with a 36.0 inch vertical leap ... jumping ability has led to 39 dunks over his first two seasons ... Continues to develop as a defensive presence and as an offensive threat ... has the ability to score on the block or facing up from 15 feet ... becoming more aggressive on both ends of the floor ... Has worked hard throughout his first two years to improve his strength and conditioning ... has positioned himself for a breakout junior campaign ...
