Indiana Pacers Re-Design Team Website

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Pacers will introduce a new design and innovative technology to their team web page, Pacers.com, on Wednesday, June 18.  The technology added to Pacers.com will provide fans with a seamless and consistent experience to access team news, extensive video highlights, players’ features and more, across desktop, tablet and mobile devices.  The NBA is the first professional sports league to feature league-wide responsive team sites.

“As more and more fans are visiting Pacers.com on mobile devices and tablets, having a responsive site design will give fans a better online experience for the foreseeable future,” said Jeff Tzucker, Director of Digital Marketing. “Fans on all devices should be able to more easily find the content they want, from team news to highlights to ticket information to our work in the community.”

Overall, the new Pacers responsive site will enhance the usability, performance and capability of Pacers.com across all devices with a mobile-first approach.  According to the NBA, during the 2013-14 regular season, record mobile and tablet visits accounted for more than 60 percent of total visits to the NBA digital platforms.

Among the new features of Pacers.com will be a highly-visual display allowing fans to engage with compelling content across all devices.  Throughout the year the Pacers will be enabled to customize their site to tell the unique Pacers story directly to fans across all platforms.  With video prominently displayed on the home page, Pacers.com will also feature in-depth team coverage, an enhanced photo gallery, and a curated feed of the most relevant social media posts.
