Ron Artest has been fined $10,000 for making an obscene gesture, it was announced today by Stu Jackson, NBA Senior Vice President, Basketball Operations.
"You don’t like doing stuff like that because it’s on TV and too many kids can see it," Artest said after practice Tuesday. "I’m in my fifth year and I’ve got to be able to control those situations, handle those situations."
The incident occurred with 3:30 remaining in the fourth period of the Pacers 72-67 loss to the Detroit Pistons last night in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals at Conseco Fieldhouse.
