Summary

Born July 6, 1990 in Villa Rica, Ga...Son of Helen Thompson and Corey Crowder...Has seven brothers and sisters...Majoring in Communication Studies...In March 2012, Crowder was named First Team All-Big East as a unanimous choice alongside teammate Darius Johnson-Odom...On March 6th, the conference announced that he had been awarded Big East Player of the Year...He is the first and only Marquette basketball player to have earned Player of the Year for the Big East Conference...Associated Press Second Team All-America...John R. Wooden Award All-America Team...All-BIG EAST First Team selection along with MU teammate Darius Johnson-Odom...Selected as one of 15 finalists for the 2012 John R. Wooden Award...NABC Coaches' All-American Third Team and NABC All-District 5 Second Team selection...Named East All-Stars' Reese's Perfect Player after finishing with five rebounds and a game-high 25 points at the Reese's Division I College All-Star Game (Mar. 30) .

Before Marquette (Howard County Junior College)

Prior to Marquette, Crowder played junior college basketball for Howard County Junior College. Along with helping Howard win its first ever national men's college basketball title, Crowder was also selected as the 2009-10 NJCAA Player of the Year...Finished among the league leaders in several categories...Averaged 18.9 points, 9.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.4 steals per game as a sophomore while shooting 46.0 percent from the field and 76.0 percent from the charity stripe...Helped South Georgia Tech Junior College to its first-ever NJCAA national tournament appearance in 2008-09...Raiders finished 21-7 overall...
