TDIKH: November 13

Nov. 13, 2012 34 years, 82 days

The Lakers and Spurs typically bring the best out of one another, and this matchup was no different.

Then again, they brought out the worst offensively, as San Antonio shot just 38.9 percent, while L.A. fared little better (41.9).

Nonetheless Kobe Bryant unleashed a game-high 28 points (12-of-19), while also handing out eight assists despite being without injured point guards Steve Nash and Steve Blake.

L.A. led by a point with 10 seconds left, but San Antonio got the ball to Danny Green, who sunk his third 3-pointer of the night. The Lakers were unable to get Bryant the ball for the final shot, resulting in a missed triple by Pau Gasol.

The Lakers outrebounded San Antonio, 48-38, under the direction of interim coach Bernie Bickerstaff, but they also turned the ball over 17 times.

Fourteen times the lead changed between the two teams before the Spurs erased L.A.’s three-point lead with a minute left.
