TDIKH: November 10

Nov. 10, 2006 19 years, 78 days

On a night when he took only four shots through three quarters, Kobe Bryant still managed to lead his team in scoring.

Bryant finished with 19 points (5-of-11), including 17 in the fourth quarter alone, though the Lakers couldn’t keep up with Detroit, which took a 97-83 win at Staples Center.

Having been named to the All-NBA First Team the previous year, Bryant did his best to close the gap late, but the deficit was simply too wide after Tayshaun Prince had his own monster quarter with 18 in the third.

Prince finished with 31 points, while Chauncey Billups also had 21 points and nine assists for the Pistons.

In 36 minutes, Bryant also had four steals and shot 8-of-9 at the free throw line.
