Coming off the bench against Golden State, Kobe Bryant notched the very first of 679 25-point games in his career, as the Lakers rolled the Warriors, 132-97, at the Forum.

Bryant tallied five assists and three steals, but it was a group effort that propelled L.A. to victory.

Shaquille O’Neal amassed 27 points and 19 rebounds, while Rick Fox added 22 points. The Lakers shot 49-of-91 (53.8 percent) — hitting eight more shots than Golden State on 13 fewer attempts.

The purple and gold also had significant advantages in rebounds (54-44) and made free throws (27-14), which keyed their fourth straight win to start the season.

As for Bryant, who shot 11-of-18, it was his first significant scoring effort against the Warriors, against whom he averages 27.9 points in his career — more than any other team.
