The measurables are certainly there for Justin Patton — a 7-footer with a 7-foot-3 wingspan. And all that length certainly served him well in Omaha, where he ranked second in the entire country with a 67.6 field goal percentage thanks to his trademark ability to run the floor.
“Big Muddy” also ranked among the Big East’s top five in blocks and rebounds while showing his potential as a screen-and-roll big that plays way above the rim. And though his free throw percentage may not be pretty, he did flash a bit of range by hitting 8-of-15 from 3-point land.
