Russell Suffers MCL Sprain, Calf Strain

After playing just one minute of Friday's game against Indiana, D'Angelo Russell went down on an awkward fall and stayed on the floor for several minutes.

Russell was diagnosed in the locker room with a mild MCL sprain in his right knee, as well as a strained right calf. He did not return to the game.

The 20-year-old is scheduled for an MRI on Saturday.

Russell missed about three weeks of action from mid-November through early December with a sore left knee while his team went 3-9.

The point guard has averaged 14.8 points this season while leading the team in assists (4.5) and steals (1.3).
