Lakers Draft Workouts: Day Eight

Olivier Hanlan | G | Boston College | 6’4 | 186 | Jr.
Having led the ACC in scoring this season (19.5 ppg), Hanlan fired his way to the all-conference First Team. The Quebec native reached 30 points in four games this season, including when he dropped 39 at Pittsburgh.

“I scored the ball really at BC well for my three years there,” Hanlan said. “I had a lot of big-time games, scoring-wise. I’m just trying to show the same things that I did at BC, (like) my pick-and-roll sets and seeing the pocket pass.”

Aaron Harrison | G | Kentucky | 6’6 | 209 | So.
Known for his pair of game-winning shots in the 2014 NCAA Tournament, Harrison was subsequently selected as the SEC Preseason Player of the Year prior to this season. Though he didn’t win the award at the end of the year, he did finish as Kentucky’s leading scorer (11.0 ppg).

“On our team, I think everyone was a (capable) player in the NBA,” Harrison said. “I think that’ll help me a lot; give me an advantage of playing with such talented guys all the time.”

Rondae-Hollis Jefferson | G/F | Arizona | 6’7 | 211 | So.
Known as a lockdown defender, Hollis-Jefferson used his 7-foot-1 wingspan to his advantage as a Wildcat, ranking in the Pac-12’s top four in defensive rating for both of his seasons at Arizona. For his efforts, he was selected to the conference’s First Team and All-Defensive Team.

“Defense is well-respected,” Hollis-Jefferson said. “You’ve got to play defense to be able to get into the game. Then you’ve got to contribute offensively, and I think me being able to play defense is a great asset to a team.”

Jonathan Holmes | F | Texas | 6’9 | 242 | Sr.
A four-year starter for the Longhorns, Holmes made a living on the glass by ranking eighth in the Big 12 in rebounds for the final two. In addition, Holmes also served as Texas’ secondary scoring option as a senior, averaging 10.3 points.

“I think I can stretch the floor,” Holmes said. “Be able to guard multiple positions and able to score from multiple places and bring energy every day.”

Jordan Mickey | PF | LSU | 6’8 | 238 | So.
Few players deterred opponents as much as Mickey, who led the nation with 3.6 blocks per game. The 20-year-old also led the SEC in rebounds (9.9) and picked up 16 double-doubles en route to being named to the all-conference First Team.

“A lot (of blocking) has to do with timing, knowing when guys are going to shoot the ball,” Mickey said. “A lot of film goes into that.”

Cady Lalanne | PF | Massachusetts | 6’10 | 241 | Sr.
Lalanne provided the Minutemen a strong presence down low, ranking in the Atlantic-10’s top eight in rebounds and blocks for the past three seasons. The Haiti native peaked as a senior, placing third in both rebounds (9.5) and blocks (1.9).

“(I can) put the ball on the floor and get to the rim,” Lalanne said. “Also, (I can) rebound the ball at a high level and do some work in the post.”
