Hi Lakers fans!
I am Kelsey and have been a member of the Los Angeles Laker Girls for three seasons. I absolutely love being a part of this organization! It is incredible how quickly time flies when you love what you do! Now that we are further into the season, our Laker Girls squad has formed a tight bond as teammates and friends.
I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to work with these talented ladies. Not only do we love spending time together, but we also love that we get to spend some of that time with the Lakers fans, cheering on our favorite team!
I always look forward to meeting fellow Lakers fans. In saying that, later this month the Laker Girls will be visiting various Carl’s Jr. restaurants throughout Los Angeles County.
We could be at a Carl’s Jr. near you so be sure to visit our website to check the dates so you can stop by for autographs, pictures, and of course… lunch at Carl’s Jr.!
I suggest trying the turkey burger, it’s delicious!
One of the most rewarding parts about being a Laker Girl is attending various charitable functions in the community. Recently, I had the opportunity to join the Tree People organization and participate in their Fruit Tree Program. We distributed hundreds of prepared fruit trees to residents in the Northeast Valley. We had peach, plum, nectarine and apple trees. My favorite is peach! Yum! The fruit tree recipients also learned how to plant and take care of their new trees. We were also lucky enough take a tour of the organization’s garden. We learned about each plant and how they differ from one another. By the end of the tour, we were all so well informed, that I left the event inspired to have a garden of my own and grow vegetables and herbs!
In addition to the Lakers games, we have been having so much fun at the D-Fenders games! The games are so exciting to watch and cheer at!
You should check them out, here in El Segundo at our training facility…….come and experience the action up close. Hopefully, we will continue to cheer the D-Fenders on throughout playoffs, and into the finals!
How exciting was this Sunday’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder! The fans had so much energy, it was amazing in the arena! Everyone was on their feet and cheering loud!
The Lakers team played so hard and got the victory! Congratulations to Jodie Meeks for achieving a career-high of 42 points!
Sunday was deemed our Ene-be-A game. At this game, the Lakers sported their new white “Los Lakers” jerseys and all the Lakers fans in attendance received a “Los Lakers” t-shirt. It was so great to see the crowd wearing their shirts and supporting the team. The Laker Girls had so much fun dancing along to Latin music and we were excited to perform a new routine to “La Bamba.”
