Nance, Jr. Progressing Well

Larry Nance, Jr., who suffered a sprained wrist during the Las Vegas Summer League, is doing well after completing two weeks of therapy with the Lakers’ staff, according to team spokesman John Black.

The second-year forward is currently in his hometown of Cleveland continuing with the therapy, prior to his return to L.A. in about two weeks.

The Lakers expect that Nance, Jr. will be fully recovered at that time.

Nance, Jr. fell awkwardly on his right wrist in the fourth quarter of L.A.’s fourth game in Vegas on Thursday July 14. He returned to Los Angeles on the morning of the 15th, and was examined by team physician Dr. Steve Lombardo and hand specialist Dr. Steve Shin of the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopedic Clinic, who determined that there was no fracture or ligament damage, but only the sprain.
