2015 NBA Draft Profile: Rondae Hollis-Jefferson

Though he may not have lit up the box score, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson made his impact felt for Arizona with defense. The 6-foot-7 small forward placed second in the Pac-12 in defensive rating in 2013-14 (89.6) before improving it to 87.8 last season, though his ranking slipped to fourth. The 20-year-old has been hailed for his athleticism, as he makes the most of his 210-pound frame and 7-foot-1 wingspan.

“Defense is well-respected,” Hollis-Jefferson said at his Lakers workout on June 8. “You’ve got to play defense to be able to get into the game. Then you’ve got to contribute offensively, and I think me being able to play defense is a great asset to a team.”

"(Teams) know my shot was always broke," Hollis-Jefferson said. "It has gotten better; keep shooting. It's small things that they pick up on: technique, form, followthrough, how's your release and all those things. From my freshman year coming into college to now, it's gotten a lot better. So they know that I can get better at it."
