2015 Player Capsule: Jeremy Lin

BY THE NUMBERS:
21.3:
Points averaged from March 22-27. Jeremy Lin scored at least 18 in four straight games, marking the first time he had done so since the February 2012 period known as “Linsanity.”
36.9: Percentage shot on 3-pointers, which set a new career high. Lin ended up tied with Nick Young for second on the team, just 0.1 percent behind Wayne Ellington.
339: Total assists dished out by Lin, which were 133 more than the next-closest Laker, Jordan Clarkson.

SEASON SUMMARY:
An up-and-down season peaked late for Lin, who averaged 14.4 points and 5.4 assists in 14 games during March. Unfortunately for the Lakers, Lin’s year ended right when he was finding the “aggressiveness” that he and head coach Byron Scott had talked about all season long. Despite missing the team’s final four games due to a sore left knee, Lin averaged 4.5 assists in purple and gold, leading all NBA players that came off the bench at least 40 times.

IN HIS WORDS:
“I really haven’t played that many games in this league. I’m still growing as a player and sometimes people forget that. I’m still relatively young. A year and a half of no playing at all. I’ve really only played three and a half years. This is my first year in a different system. (I’ve seen a lot now, but) now I want to evolve my game to someone that’s not contingent on anything other than me impacting the game. It’s an exciting challenge and I’m looking forward to it."
