17
Points scored by Nick Young. After sitting out the team’s first 10 games with a torn ligament in his right thumb, Young set a season-high for scoring by a Laker off the bench by shooting 6-for-10 in his season debut.

“He’s a great player,” Kobe Bryant said. “He can create. He can shoot pull-ups. He can post. He can knock down the 3. It felt good to have him out there. The defense really has to pay attention to him.”

67
First-half points scored by the Lakers, which eclipsed the previous season-high of 56. L.A. shot 27-for-44 (61.4 percent) in the first two quarters to take a 15-point halftime lead.

32,001
Points scored by Bryant in his career. Bryant hit a 20-foot fadeaway while being fouled with 70 seconds left in the game to become the fourth player to reach the 32,000 mark. He drained the subsequent free throw to finish the game with a team-high 28 points on a 10-for-28 clip from the field.

“When we really needed him to step up, he was able to do that as usual,” head coach Byron Scott said. “(He) made some big shots for us and also made some key passes, I thought.”
