Bryant Reaches 32,000 Points

As he has done so many times before in his 19-year career, Kobe Bryant faked right before spinning back and splashing his signature turnaround jumper.

But this time, in the Tuesday's win over Atlanta, was a bit more special. Not only did Bryant’s and-1 give L.A. a six-point lead after draining the free throw with 70 seconds left; the three-point play also gave him 32,001 points for his career.

Bryant joins Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Karl Malone and Michael Jordan as the only players in the 32,000-point club.

Bryant currently leads the league with 27.4 points per game, and he is 292 points away passing Jordan (32,292) for third on the NBA’s all-time scoring list.
