#NYK70 | 2000: Patrick Ewing's First Game vs Knicks

During his 15th and last season with the Knicks, Patrick Ewing notched his 1000th game with the club. The beloved big man remains the only player to do so in a Knicks uniform.
Looking to the future, before the start of the 2000-01 season the team traded the man who had been the face of the franchise since draft day in 1985. On November 14, Knicks fans got their first look at Ewing in another team’s colors, as New York tipped off against the SuperSonics on their home court in Seattle. On a bittersweet night for the Knicks, Ewing’s new team won, 96-75. The center had 10 points, nine rebounds and three blocked shots.
