#NYK70 | 1961: Richie Guerin Averages 29.5 PPG in One of The NBA’s Most Incredible Statistical Seasons

In a year that saw Wilt Chamberlain average an unmatched 50 points per game, and five other all-time All-Stars (Robertson, Baylor, Petit, West, Bellamy) average more than 30, the Knicks’ Richie Guerin scored an average of 29.5 points per game. Along the way, he became the first Knicks player to score more than 2000 points in a season. Guerin was inducted into The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2013.
