NE-YO and Becky G to Headline Sprint Pregame Concert at NBA All-Star 2015

– Concert to Air Live on NBA TV and TNT from New York City’s Hammerstein Ballroom –

NEW YORK, Feb. 13, 2015 – Grammy® Award-winning recording artist NE-YO and pop sensation Becky G will headline the Sprint Pregame Concert on Sunday, Feb. 15 from New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom.  The concert will air live at 6:30 p.m. ET on NBA TV and during TNT’s pregame show for the 64th NBA All-Star Game, beginning at 8:00 p.m. ET.

Becky G, singer, rapper and COVERGIRL, will open the night performing two of her hit singles – “Shower” and “Can’t Stop Dancin” – off her upcoming debut album, Play It Again.  Following Becky G’s performance three-time Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter and record producer NE-YO, whose latest album, “Non-Fiction,” debuted at #1 on the R&B/HipHop charts, will take the stage to perform hits including the radio smash, “She Knows”. 

Hosting the star-studded concert will be E! News anchor Terrence Jenkins, alongside correspondents Tas Melas and JE Skeets from NBA TV’s “The Starters.”  Jenkins, Melas, and Skeets will be on stage conducting interviews with celebrities and NBA players during the broadcast.  In addition, DJ Cassidy will be on-hand to entertain the crowd spinning some of the latest radio hits.  NBA TV’s pregame coverage will begin at 6:00 p.m. ET.

The Sprint NBA All-Star Pregame Concert will conclude a week of Sprint All-Star activities in New York City, including the Sprint NBA All-Star Celebrity Game from Madison Square Garden, airing live on Friday, Feb. 13 at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN.  The game will feature celebrities from film and TV, as well as NBA legends and WNBA players.  Sprint is also the presenting partner of NBA All-Star Balloting, which determines the starters for the NBA All-Star Game.

The NBA previously announced that six-time GRAMMY® Award-winning pop icon Christina Aguilera, joined by the Rockettes, will tip off the 64th NBA All-Star Game on Sunday, Feb. 15 at Madison Square Garden.  Aguilera’s performance will be followed by Golden Globe® and Grammy Award-winner Queen Latifah singing the U.S. national anthem and singer/actress Tamia performing the Canadian national anthem.  At halftime of the game, superstar recording artist Ariana Grande will perform a compilation of her biggest hits during an electrifying halftime show.

On Saturday, Feb. 14, pop sensation Ella Henderson will entertain the crowd with her platinum hit single “Ghost” during State Farm® All-Star Saturday Night at Barclays Center.  Also on Saturday, international singing/songwriting duo Nico & Vinz will perform at Madison Square Garden during NBA All-Star Practice presented by Sean John at Macy’s.  On Friday, Feb. 13 Pop-Reggae Band MAGIC! will take the stage during halftime of the Sprint NBA All-Star Celebrity Game.
