Kings Tip-Off 2011-12 Season with "Blackout" Home Opener Against L.A. Lakers at Power Balance Pavilion

SACRAMENTO, CALIF., Dec. 20, 2011 -- The Sacramento Kings today announced several fan-friendly trimmings to the team’s first-ever “blackout” season opener presented by Subway Restaurants on Dec. 26.

Each fan passing through the turnstiles will receive a complimentary gift bag featuring an exclusive commemorative “blackout” T-shirt, collectable opening night lapel pin and purple rally glow stick. Doors to Power Balance Pavilion will open at 5:30 p.m., 30 minutes earlier than a typical Kings home game. In the spirit of this occasion, fans are encouraged to wear black in celebration of the team’s black jersey debut.

Additionally, Frank Hannon from Sacramento’s legendary rock band TESLA will sing the national anthem.

A limited number of tickets for the home opener have been released to the general public from group seating and league required holds. Inventory is in short supply and expected to sell quickly, so fans are encouraged to click here.

Fans looking to save money over individual tickets and secure additional games during the Kings first week of action should call 888-91-KINGS and inquire about the hot-selling four-game “Back-in-Black Pack,” featuring matchups against the Lakers, Chicago Bulls, N.Y. Knicks and New Orleans Hornets.
