Kings Sign Trent Lockett

SACRAMENTO ---- The Sacramento Kings announced today the organization has signed guard Trent Lockett to a contract, according to Kings General Manager Pete D'Alessandro. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Lockett, a 6-5, 210-pound guard, averaged 7.0 points (.464 FG%, .375 3pt%, .545 FT%), 1.6 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 20.2 minutes per game in five games (started 1) for the Kings in the 2013 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas. Prior to NBA Summer League, Lockett was invited to Sacramento for a pre-draft workout on June 19, 2013.

As a senior at Marquette, Lockett averaged 7.0 points (.415 FG%, .333 3pt%, .752 FT%), 5.1 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 26.6 minutes per game in 2012-13. Prior to transferring to Marquette, Lockett played three seasons at Arizona State (2009-10 – 2011-12). As a freshman, he was named to the Pac-10 All-Freshman Team in 2009-10. In his sophomore campaign, Lockett earned Second Team All-Pac-10 accolades and First Team Pac-10 All-Academic honors in 2010-11. He was also named to Capital One Academic All-District 8 and First Team Pac-10 all-academic teams in his junior season in 2011-12.
