SACRAMENTO, CA - The Sacramento Kings have recalled rookies Malachi Richardson, Georgios Papagiannis and Skal Labissiere from the Reno Bighorns of the NBA D-League, it was announced today by Vice President of Basketball Operations and General Manager Vlade Divac.
Currently the fourth-highest scorer in the D-League, Richardson averaged 24.4 points (.427 FG%, .440 3pt%, .774 FT%), 3.8 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 35.6 minutes per contest in five starts for Reno—highlighted by a game-winning fade-away jumper as time expired to give the Bighorns a 110-108 victory over the Texas Legends last night.
Papagiannis has accrued averages of 10.3 points (.467 FG%, .750 FT%), 7.5 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 2.32 blocks in 29.2 minutes per game in four appearances for the Bighorns (three starts). A 7-2 center, Papagiannis contributed his first career-double (10 points and 10 rebounds) in yesterday’s win against Texas.
The 28th overall selection in the 2016 NBA Draft, Labissiere posted 10.0 points (.379 FG%, .667 FT%), 7.2 rebounds and 1.84 blocks in 30.2 minutes per game in five starts for Reno, including 21 points (9-16 FG, 3-4 FG) to accompany eight rebounds, one assist and one block in 27 minutes in last night’s Bighorns triumph.
